indefenseofart: So I’m taking an art history seminar on Disneyland this term and my professor showed us this fabulous picture today and I just had to share it. It is of Salvador Dalí riding on a small model train that Walt Disney had installed around the perimeter of his house. So much to say about this photo— I don’t even know where to start.

lellaprincesspants: THIS!!! People keep telling me their pain is nothing compared to mine, and I keep telling people that’s crap because you can’t compare these things!!!! Pain is pain, sadness is sadness, happiness is happiness. We all experience them differently, there is no judgement no comparison, no test with these, there is trying to make your life better and your pain go away and your sadness lessen. That is what your life is about, so go do it!!!
